Department of Special Materials, Photochemistry and Electrochemistry
Consist of two laboratories:
Laboratory of Photochemistry and Electrochemistry
Laboratory of Special Materials
A department was founded in 2011 on the basis of laboratory of polyphosphorous compounds, which functioned in the period of 1978-2011.
Head of Laboratory – Anatoly I. Kulak, Doctor of Sciences (Chemistry), professor.

The main research activities:
Development of new approaches of receipt and study of inorganic substances and compositions on their basis – thermochromic, fluorescent and photochromic compounds, biocompatible ceramic, composite semiconductive materials; synthesis, research of structure and functional characteristics of structure-organized, including nanocrystalline, materials in photocatalytic, electrocatalytic and photoelectrochemical processes.
Development of receipts and methods of production of protective additives for security and bond papers, synthesis of inorganic bioactive substances, production of bioceramic materials, photocatalysts, functional coatings, expert activity in the sphere of applied electrochemistry, electrocatalysis and photocatalysis
Production of protective additives for security and bond papers; production of biocompatible implants; development of new functional materials with a complex of special characteristics (photo- and electrocatalytic, protective, optical and others).
